Almost all kinds of industry nowadays are trying to go green. Of course this does also includes the industry of the data centre at the same time. The people working in the said industry are also becoming more and more aware of the environmental problems due to data centres as they use to leave a lot of footprints behind. But today, they are now trying to decrease the carbon footprint which has become a major concern for the past few years.
Because of the innovations made, there are actually two new revolutionary ideas that were created in the world of data centre. The first one is the 10GbE which is also called by many as the 10 Gigabyte Ethernet backbones. Unfortunately, the price would still cost an arm and a leg. But nonetheless, the 10GbE is a great solution especially if you would consider its infrastructure. Compared t the typical Ethernet standard, the 10GbE has a lot more bandwidth and offers faster speed to its clients.
The second breakthrough was the fact that they were trying to incorporate the Green Technology. There were now already a lot of standards that would help them check if the data centre is going green or still doing the conventional ways. Of course, in order to entice data centres to go green, there were so many incentives if they can prove that they are working with energy-efficient equipments.
